Installed Dual-piston Calipers and 12-inch Rotors
On 6/11/2005, I installed my 12-inch Dual Piston Front Brake upgrade package. I bought the Stage II kit from the Wbodystore.com. I could have saved $150-200 and pieced together a system myself, but I didn't want to mess with cutting corners.....especially when it comes to something as important as my brakes. The upgraded kit included rebuilt camaro/firebird (F-body) calipers, new caliper brackets, 12" Raybestos rotors, new semi-metallic pads, and all the hardware for the install.
Before installing the kit, I painted the brackets and calipers with red caliper paint. I also painted the "hats" of the rotors with hi-temp black paint to keep the rust-look to a minimum. Anyway, here are pictures from the install.
