Ran the 1/4 mile at Cecil
On 12/4/2004, I went down to Cecil County Dray way in Maryland again with Allen to run my car at the 1/4 mile for the 3rd time. I was able to get 7 runs in, but each run got worse. This was the first chance for me to test my new mods. I was expecting to run somewhere between 13.2 and 13.5. Here are my times:
My first run was the best of the day. The colder weather was making it harder to launch too and as the day went on, my times got worse. Also, after the 3rd run we found that my throttle body was leaking because the bolts needed to be tightened. Fortunately, I had my socket set with me and was able to fix it easily. Anyway, I was happy that I got a 13.5 and that's still with my 3.4 supercharger pulley installed. I was having fueling issues that would cause a bad hesitation at the top of 2nd gear. So once I hit 100-101mph, I kinda coasted through the traps. If I had it tuned in better, it could have been a 13.3 @104 or so that day. I know what I need to do though. I'm hoping to go to Cecil in the spring and have my fueling issues fixed which would allow me to run smaller supercharger pulleys.
