Installed Denso Narrowband Oxygen Sensor
On 2/18/2006, I installed a new Denso Narrowband Oxygen Sensor since my stock one had over 75k miles and was going bad. I was getting "Service Engine Soon" lights from the PCM (DTC 1133 & DTC 0133) from either the old age of the sensor or the copper "sensor-safe" RTV that I used with the TOG install few weeks before. This is the sensor that is used to adjust the fueling of the car, so therefore it was throwing my "tune" out and causing me to get lousy gas mileage. To be on the safe-side, I put my larger 3.4 pulley back on. Anyway, it was a simple swap-out and then reset the SES light. So far, so good and my fueling is much better again. Here's a picture of the stock AC Delco sensor (top) and the Denso sensor (bottom.
