GMPP Suspension Upgrade
On 4/6/2004, Reid and I installed my GM Performance Parts Koni Adjustable Strut and Lowering Spring combination. It took us 2 hours to replace all 4 struts and springs. I didn't realize how bad my stock suspension was until I got these installed. The old rear struts were shot and really made the ride sloppy. Here is a picture of the package:

This package also lowers the car a tiny bit. In the front it lowers the car 0.9" and in the rear, 0.7". This mainly evens out the front and rear wheel gap and gives the car a sportier stance. The struts have adjustable dampening which allows the driver to tweak the performance and ride quality. At first I had them pretty high and I wasn't used to it so I turned them down all the way and that's where they are at now. The ride is comfortable, but still much more responsive than the old suspension. I will soon turn them up to 30-40% for my daily driver, but for long trips I'll turn them down for comfort.
On 4/12/04, I took my car to get an alignment at Firestone. I spent the extra money and got the lifetime alignment package so that I can get it aligned up to 4 times a year at no charge at any of the Firestones across America. Peace of mind is what I wanted. Anyway, here's a closer picture of the wheel gap after GMPP. Since this picture, they may have settled a little more, so I may update the picture again.
