1/4 mile runs at Maple Grove
On 11/1/2003, a few of the fellow Grand Prix club members went to Maple Grove Raceway to test and tune our cars on the quarter mile. I was pretty nervous being my first time and I had a goal of hitting low 14's. I was so worried about losing traction at the launch that I tended to ease into it a little too much. I should have launched harder since the track was very sticky and it helped with traction. Here's the info on my runs:
First Run:
Second Run:
If I can get my 60-foot times closer to 2.0 to 2.1 with better launches, I should be around 14.0 to 14.1 next time. Although next time, I should have my DHP chip installed, GMPP Suspension upgrade, and the Exhaust should be redone after the Cat. So next time my goal will be very low 14's. I will probably go with my 18's as well since I like the look of them better and I don't think it would have made that much of a difference since they are heavier.
Here are a few pictures from that day. It was really fun!

I was told that my times are good for my mods, but I know that if I can perfect my launches, my times will be VERY good for my mods. Timeslips will tell.
