Installed Larger Resonator
On 7/27/2005, I took my car to a local exhaust shop to have a new custom Resonator installed in place of my GMPP resonator. The old one was only 14-inches long and had a 4-inch diameter with a 2.5-inch core. The new one is 24-inches long and has a 5-inch diameter with a 2.5-inch core. It's 100% stainless steel and it really helped get rid of most of the drone. The exhaust still sounds good and rumbles, but it is much more tame than it was. I also had the mechanic re-do how my exhaust tips are installed. The passenger side one was in farther and crooked and I could not adjust them since they were welded. I had them reinstalled with clamps so that I can easily adjust and remove them which makes polishing them up much easier. Anyway, here's a picture of the resonator.
